Cinema Sunday #9 | The Invisible Guest

Contratiempo poster.jpg

A successful entrepreneur accused of murder and a witness preparation expert have less than three hours to come up with an impregnable defense.

An underrated international film that I highly recommend. It’s full of suspense, and almost in a unique form of murder mystery. Mr Doria, accused of killing his lover, must tell the real story of the night of the murder as he works with a prestigious defense attorney Virginia Goodman who visits him early one morning.

The movie is intense and makes you sit on the edge of the seat as the characters take risky actions and make riskier decisions. There’s anticipation as you watch the account of the story shift constantly. There’s a plot twist at every corner, but the ultimate one awaits for you at the end. Even after watching so many movies, I could not have predicted the way it would have gone, and was enraptured the entire time.

If you enjoyed the plot of Knives Out, prepared to have your breath taken away by The Invisible Guest.
