Top Ten Tuesday #18 | Character Freebie

For this Top Ten Tuesday character freebie, I decided to share some characters that I would love to be friends with in real life.

Top Ten Tuesday, originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is a weekly meme. Thank you for the prompts!

Jesper Fahey | Six of Crows

Can Jesper be real? His comments on everything breathe me to life. I’ll literally sit in on an one hour lecture on the life cycle of a snail if he’s the one giving it.

Wylan Van Eck | Six of Crows

Why have one when you can have both? He’s literally a cinnamon roll. Also I live for Wylan and Jesper’s tete-a-tetes.

Iko | The Lunar Chronicles

I love Iko’s upbeat attitude. And I totally relate to her whenever she swoons over all the ships that exist around her. If I needed a girl’s night out or wanted to stay in for a rom-com movie marathon, I’d know who to call.

Hermione Granger | Harry Potter

If I was ever stuck in a runt, I have no doubt that Hermione would get me out. Also, I’ve always wanted to be as booksmart as Hermione ever since reading and watching the series. I mean, they say to surround yourself with good influences, you know?

Jo March | Little Women

I don’t know how well I’ll do at winning an argument against her, but there’s no doubt that she has a big heart. I’d also love to join of of her plays.

Parveneh | A Man Called Ove

It’s always nice to have a down-to-earth and caring friend who throws a sarcastic remark every now and then to remind you when you’re not thinking straight. After all, every group needs that one friend who acts like the mom.

Sawyer | When Elephants Fly

It would be nice to have a friend who literally tells you everything and that you can tell everything to. Sawyer is so transparent with Aza in WEF and it’s amazing reading the bond that they have.

Charlie | Perks of Being a Wallflower

Quiet and socially awkward. Like me. It would be nice to have a friend that’s there to listen and and help out. Also, I’m curious to know what kind of gift he would give me 😛

  1. These are great choices for characters to be friends with! Though, with Hermione, I think I’d have to specify older Hermione, because young Hermione drove me bonkers. xD Parveneh is another great choice! Oh my gosh, how fun would that be? Also, I feel like our husbands would get along fine hanging out and complaining about us demanding women always telling them how to do things. 😛 Win-win!

    Here’s my TTT post.

      1. The movie didn’t have the same charm as the book, I think, mostly because, well, you don’t get Ove’s inner commentary, which was golden. I did love her in the movie, though. I thought the actress did a wonderful job. :3 Hope you get to see it soon!

  2. Jo March definitely would be on my list too (I think actually all of the March sisters would be pretty decent friends to have 😊), but I prefer Luna Lovegood to Hermione. Hermione always seemed a bit snarky to me, and Luna is a kinder and more gentle soul
